Are you looking for a school holiday program that will help your child grow and develop and help them reach their goals?

DBY Occupational Therapy is excited to present our September school Holiday Program. Jam-Packed with lots of fun and engaging activities for all abilities. The program promotes the development of fine and gross motor skills, social skills, problem solving skills, communication, Emotional development and resilience. This program is designed by Occupational Therapists for all ages and abilities and is led by experienced Allied Health Professionals.

NDIS Participants who are Self Managed or Plan Managed can use their NDIS funding for the School Holiday Program if our programs align to their goals

All Programs have been designed for Indoor and Outdoor Fun, so no matter the weather our activities can be modified to accommodate. Don’t miss out! Join us for some fun these school Holidays!

FULL DAY PROGRAM

  • begins each day at 8am and finish at 5:30pm
  • Full Day of Fun activities that help develop important skills
  • Includes Breakfast served between 8:00am and 8:30am
  • Options for Breakfast include Weetbix, Yoghurt, Fruit, Toast
  • Options for Afternoon tea include vegetable sticks, dips, crackers, cheese
  • Cost for Full Day Program: $250 per person

EXCURSIONS

  • Offsite Excursions include Atherston Traffic School and the MCG.
  • Cost: $300 per person for full day
  • Additional Costs not funded by the NDIS will be applicable to Excursion days, these costs include entry to venue and travel (Myki) which are payable on the day.

Adventure Olympics

This action-packed day is all about boosting gross motor skills, fostering teamwork, and building resilience through exhilarating challenges and activities. This program ensures that each child’s abilities and comfort levels are considered, making it an inclusive and exciting experience for everyone.

Tuesday 19th Sept

Magical Quest

This day is all about imagination, nurturing creativity, honing fine motor skills, and exploring the world of art and design. Children will embark on a journey of self-expression and artistic exploration through a range of hands-on activities that promote the development of fine motor skills, attention to detail and collaboration.

Wednesday 20th Sept

Traffic School

Gear up for an exciting Bike Safety and Road Rules Adventure Day. This day is all about equipping children with essential bike safety knowledge and practical skills. During the day, children will put their learning into action at a local bike riding traffic school, navigating simulated road scenarios while following traffic rules. It’s a day of hands-on learning, community engagement, and physical activity, all while having a blast on two wheels.

Pirate Treasure Party

Designed for all abilities, get ready to engage your mind in a series of exciting puzzles, riddles, and logic games that will challenge your problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. This day is designed to be both mentally stimulating and incredibly fun, with activities that encourage teamwork, communication, and a sense of accomplishment.

Communication Carnival

Step into the world of communication through interactive and engaging activities that enhance verbal and non-verbal skills, active listening, empathy, and understanding. Through drama, storytelling, and collaborative games, children will build essential social skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

Monday 25th Sept

Emotion Express

This day is dedicated to exploring and understanding a range of emotions through creative activities, music, and role-playing. Children will embark on a journey of emotional development, focusing on identifying, expressing, and managing their feelings while also building empathy and resilience.

Tuesday 26th Sept

Nature Connection – Resiliance Retreat

Get ready to immerse yourself in the beauty of the outdoors and embark on a journey of resilience, adaptability, and environmental appreciation. At the end of the day children will have deepened their connection with nature, developed a sense of resilience and adaptability, and learned valuable skills through teamwork and problem-solving. They’ll leave with a greater appreciation for the environment and a toolkit of techniques to navigate challenges with grace and determination.

AFL Grand Final Celebration at the MCG

Join us for an unforgettable AFL Grand Final day, a celebration of Victoria’s sporting culture! We’ll hop on a train to the iconic MCG, where the excitement of footy awaits. It’s a day packed with all things football. Don’t miss this thrilling adventure that captures the essence of Victorian sportsmanship.”

Grand Finale – Celebration of Progress

Welcome to the Grand Finale Carnival! It’s time to celebrate the incredible journey of growth, learning, and friendship that the children have embarked on throughout the week. This day is all about showcasing the skills they’ve developed, engaging in joyful activities, and creating lasting memories.
